Marrickville Spirit is a growing basketball association situated in the heart of Marrickville NSW offering weekly domestic competitions and a Basketball NSW affiliated representative program competing in the NSW Waratah League. We also offer training programs to cater for all levels. Starting at Aussie Hoops right through to High Performance basketball training sessions.
Our home court is the PCYC Marrickville Sports Centre.
We believe that basketball is a unique sport that promotes individual growth and team building, and helps players succeed in their daily lives. Spirit Basketball is for all children of our local community and we believe that a sense of community and growth are integral to providing kids with a better quality of life and increased opportunities.
The strength of the team is each individual member.

REP PROGRAM
Junior & Senior Representative basketball
Marrickville Spirit have both Girls and Boys Under 12, 14, 16 & 18 representative Junior teams competing in the BNSW Metro Waratah Junior League.
In addition to Juniors, we also have senior Youth League teams competing in the BNSW Senior Waratah League.
It is a privilege and an honour to represent the Spirit and one that should not to be taken lightly. Representative basketball takes a huge amount of time, commitment and dedication throughout the season. Players are expected to train, compete in local competitions and participate in club activities throughout the season, as well as compete in the BNSW Waratah League.
Trials are held towards the end of each year to select teams for the following year's season.
